Choosing the right footwear
Advice for sizing & ordering
Enclosed with this catalogue is an order form which can be used for all of our footwear ranges. Natureform footwear is designed to be wide enough that you can wear your normal shoe size, without needing to order a larger size. However, the sizing guide can be used if you are unsure. Simply measure the length of your feet, from heel to the longest toe, and the circumference around the widest point. Then use the guide to find your approximate size. Another helpful alternative is to draw around your feet on a sheet of paper, post this to us, and let us choose the correct size for you.
Mixed and Half Pairs
- What is a half pair? A half pair is a single shoe - if ordering a half pair, please remember to state whether left or right shoe is required when you call our customer service team.
- What is a mixed pair? A mixed size pair has a different sized shoe for each foot. Example: you may have a very swollen left foot and smaller right foot requiring a size 6 left and size 5 right. Please remember to state which size is required for each side when you call our customer service team.
Extension Pieces
When even Natureform footwear isn’t quite wide enough, extension pieces can be used to extend the reach of the secure fastenings.
- Shoe extensions – £3.50 per pair (£2.98 exc VAT)
- Slipper extensions – £2.50 per pair (£2.13 exc VAT)
When ordering, please state which style the extension pieces are required. Available for both the Classsico and Nouveau Collection.
DO’S
- Always try to wear lace up shoes, and keep the laces tied. If you have difficulty tying laces, velcro® fastening shoes are a suitable alternative.
- Heels should be flat, broad, low and non-tapered.
- Shoes should grip well at the heel. They should not slip up and down when walking.
- Choose shoes that are made from natural materials such as leather and cotton as this will allow free movement of air and reduce perspiration.
- Choose shoes and slippers that have ridges on the soles, as this will provide more grip.
- Your toes need plenty of room, so ensure that your shoes and slippers are both wide and deep.
- For people who use walking sticks, ensure that your wardrobe of shoes have similar heel heights.
DONT’S
- Do not wear high heels that are tapered.
- Avoid plastic shoes as they tend to make your feet sweat and tire because air cannot penetrate.
- Do not cut the uppers to accommodate your problem, as you will lose support and stability.
- Do not buy shoes in a larger size than is necessary.
- Avoid slip-on shoes as they are very roomy and cannot be adjusted. Unless your foot is extremely swollen over the instep they are likely to fall off.
